This one time, a few months ago, I got the itch to do a complete makeover on Big Thunder (our Class-C Coachmen Santara motorhome). Not really sure what I was thinking, and I certainly didn’t know what I was getting myself into, but it’s finally DONE and I’m happy with the results.
Be sure to check out my OLDER BLOG POST where we did our initial updates to her. I include a lot of links for various things we updated. Here are some before/after pictures of the final makeover:
-We painted, updated curtains, removed the table and dinette cushions and replaced with new ones, replaces the couch cushions with new ones, etc.. The blue curtains you see are actually just tablecloths on clearance at target! I ordered all new foam for our cushions and paid a friend to sew covers for them. That’s way out of my skill level! The floor was updated and can be seen in the previously linked blog post.
Most of the updates in the photo before were done previously and can be seen in the linked blog post. The paint is the main difference here. (and the couch/dinette update)
Our bedroom update was mainly just paint. The curtains and cabinet handles were updated earlier as seen in the previously linked blog post.
I found a corner stand on amazon that worked perfectly for our TV! It’s velcroed to the wall.
Another shot of the new dinette set layout. Check out of the blog post linked at the beginning for links to all the extras (chalkboard fridge, kid’s travel organizer, etc..). The table is from amazon too and I painted it with markerboard paint.
View from the hallway.
I couldn’t find an old photo of the bathroom, probably because it’s so tiny and hard to photograph. We painted, put in a new sink and faucet, updated the lightbulbs, and put in a fancy new toilet too (we bought the ceramic model).
